After a few seasons down the bottom end of the ladder, we had a mindset of not only moving back up the ladder but making a impact, enter new coach Chris O'Keefe. O'Keefe had his plans in place from the start and was only looking forward that he has done, with injuries and players unavailable for one reason or another, we haven't really seen our best side on paper yet.
After a big preseason and heading into our practice matches we felt that if we could get everyone available and injury free we would be very competitive against most sides. Within the first 5 games it seen us beating new comers Caroline Springs and Altona leaving us 2 and 3, losing to Sunshine, Deer Park and Spotswood going into a week off.

However, as the weeks progressed we seen our results improving and the boys playing well together. With wins against Wyndhamvale in round 6, St Albans round 7 and coming so close to beating Werribee Districts in Round 9 as the half way point in the season stands we sit 4-5 with 9 games to come and only sitting 1 game out of the top 5. Finals are a very realistic chance!

O'Keefe will be looking to improve on the start he has had to the season and win a few more close games. The effort from the boys week in week out is unquestionable, numbers are still great on the track and there is a great vibe around! So with a good run home and no injuries, we could see Albion back playing finals footy in 2017!
